MAUMEE BAY STATE PARK RESORT OFFERS REDUCED SPRING BREAK RATES DURING THE WEEKS BEFORE AND AFTER EASTER

OREGON, Ohio, March 3, 2009 - Maumee Bay State Park Resort in Northwest Ohio is offering a reduced rate for guests who want to spend spring break closer to home but still enjoy the activities found at one of Ohio's premier destinations.
From April 3 to 18 the resort will offer double bed rooms for $89 for stays Sunday through Thursday and $99 on Friday and Saturday nights. Rates do not include tax, are not valid for group reservations and may not be combined with other promotions.
"This is an opportunity to enjoy spring break without breaking the bank," said Patrick Czarny, general manager of Maumee Bay State Park Resort.
Staff from the resort will organize free kids' activities every night during this period. In addition to the organized fun, guests can enjoy the resort's array of indoor recreational facilities, including swimming pool, hot tubs, fitness center, Wallyball courts and game room. Guests can also venture outdoors and visit the park's acclaimed nature center, featuring an interpretive boardwalk through a wetland area that attracts many species of birds and other wildlife.
The resort is also offering a special rate of $79 per night in the double bed rooms Sundays through Thursdays throughout March and $89 per night April 1-2 and June 1-4 and 8-11, 2009.

Situated on Lake Erie just minutes from Toledo in northwestern Ohio, Maumee Bay is Ohio's newest state park.
