Maumee Bay Hiking Trails
Make sure to pack some water and snacks when you decide to hit the trails. There are three trails to choose from including a 2-mile interpretive boardwalk and two multi-use trails
Find two multi-use trails in Maumee Bay State Park suitable for biking. Choose from a 6- or 3-mile multi-use trail for your next biking adventure. For a ride that’s a little easier, there’s also 5-mile asphalt trail.
Follow the Western Lake Erie Marshes Loop on the Lake Erie Birding Trail and keep an eye out for the bald eagles, great blue herons, white egrets, swans, and several migratory birds including warblers.
Some say the park is at its prettiest with a dusting of snow on the ground. The park’s 3-mile Mouse Trail is open for cross-country skiers and equipment can be rented from the front desk at Maumee Bay Lodge.
